We recycle or compost 96% of our trash here and were awarded a Green Star.
The City of Santa Barbara Composting program rep came by yesterday and brought us a sample of the results of our composting. It is used at local schools, wineries and parks instead of going to the land. How cool is that?!
Honestly composting could not be easier. It just feels good and the whole staff really gets into it. We want to encourage other businesses in composting. We use no disposable individual water bottles, cups, utensils, plates or food pans or trays. The great news from the city is that they will be offering composting to residential soon too.
