Vivacious blooms bubbled over the second story terrace and set the cheerful tone for Kelly & Bill's backyard wedding. Bright pops of floral color became the highlight against the simple white details and really allowed the flower accents to shine. Ivory and white linens with white plates and white vases never made a table look so good. There was something about the strategic simplicity that worked so perfectly for this blissful wedding reception. In this case, less was definitely more. We can say with absolute certainty that Anna Le Pley Taylor outdid herself with her artistry of vivacious blooms.
This really was a family gathering. They invited whole families; including all their children and took extra steps to ensure the kids were completely taken care of. They weren't an afterthought of the wedding, but in fact their presence was celebrated in the most amazing and adorable way. The children's playhouse was fashioned just as like the second story terrace; lined with glorious flowers. There was a bouncy house positioned in such a way that it wouldn't obstruct the gorgeous photo ops and they hired a balloon artist so the kids could have "pretend" sword fights. The result was a perfect atmosphere and setting for the whole family.
While the adults were at cocktail hour, we plated and pre-set the first course. There was something so lovely about the sight of the delicious salads on the pristine white tables with colorful centerpieces. It was artistic with the perfectly spaced dots of color surrounding the perimeter of the table. We served Farmer's Market Fresh Veggie & Heirloom Tomato Salads with Balsamic Vinaigrette and Baskets of Hearth Baked Breads and Rolls with Terra Cotta Saucers of Provincial Dipping Oil.
Next we moved onto the Family Style Dinner Menu and set beautiful farm to table platters of the following:
Fresh Grilled Local Farmer's Market Vegetables with a Virgin Oil Herb Drizzle
Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Grilled Salmon Filet with Fresh Sorrel Sauce
Basted Golden Fresh Turkey Deep & Rich Turkey Pan Gravy & Fresh House Made Cranberry Sauce
Lastly, we couldn't forget about the children! We designed a whimsy buffet of yummy options for the kids to choose from. We sprinkled the buffet with fun "froggy" decor to add a little extra playfulness. The children's buffet consisted of:

Macaroni and Cheese
Crispy House Made Chicken Strips & Ketchup
Rolls & Butter
