How long have you been in the events business?
I have worked in hospitality and events since I was 17 years old, drawn to the dynamic, exciting, and coffee-fueled nature of the industry. Hospitality provides such a wonderful opportunity to provide an “experience” that is memorable, the chance to be a part of someone’s special day.
What draws you to Hospitality and the Special Event Industry?
Honestly, the adrenaline of the ever-changing day-to-day and quickly having to adapt and find solutions on the spot. The Hospitality Industry can be compared to Theater, with organized chaos behind the scenes attending to every detail striving for perfection, and then, BAM! The curtain goes up, and the show begins.
If you were a cocktail, what would you be and why?
A Gin Martini with a Twist. I like to think I’m a classy girl with brightness and a bit of edge with undertones, and layers like the many botanicals in a great Gin. This is also one of my rare indulgences.
What do you do for fun? I love to be outside, especially with my family. Enjoying the everyday routine moments of taking my young daughter, Allison, and French bulldog, Luke, for a walk after work or to the park for playtime. As a family we love picnics, traveling somewhere new, or hosting game nights at our home with friends. With my personal time, a glass of wine, a book, and a hot bath for mommy fun.
What else do you want our readers to know about you?
My husband, Brandon, and I met, fell in love, married, and created a family in Santa Barbara while both working in the hospitality industry. This is what we do, live, and breathe in this beautiful city. I couldn’t be more proud to represent Santa Barbara, its culture, events, and hospitality industry.
