Santa will smell this a mile away & know just where to go! Any of our Santa Barbara Farmer’s Markets will have fresh pressed local apple cider this time of year; I love the one from Mill Road Farms. Mulling spices are a cinch to make at home and they make a great gift too.
Mulled Cider Recipe
1 tsp. whole cloves 1 tsp. whole allspice berries Pinch ground nutmeg Strip of orange peel
Tie in up with string in a four inch square of cotton or muslin. Simmer on the stove in a small pot with a quart of fresh cider and a stick of cinnamon for 15 minutes. Serve with a stick of cinnamon in a nice warm mug. It’s also particularly magical with a shot Calvados French Apple Brandy.
