Tell us a little about yourself, where did you grow up? I grew up in Santa Barbara, and have been here my whole life, though most of the time I take it for granted. Would like to live in an East Coast city or even abroad for a while, a change in scenery would make me appreciative of Santa Barbara's small city feel.

What is the culture at Pure Joy?

The culture at Pure Joy is one of constant learning. There are many aspects to an event and the people working them. Learning how and when to provide the level of service that Pure Joy offers is a fun challenge plus interacting with all the personalities and coming together to ensure that we make each event unique and tailored.

What do you do for fun?

For fun, I enjoy going to a cafe to have a latte and reading books about economics, politics, history, and social issues. Learning about different cultures and languages. Meeting new people. Weight lifting, and when able, traveling.

What’s your favorite part of your work?

My favorite part of my work is seeing the team succeed. Seeing how the team improves with each event makes me proud to be working alongside them.

If you were a cocktail, what would you be and why?

A margarita! Specifically, a mango-pineapple margarita, no reason, they're just delicious!

What do you contribute to events (beyond truly exceptional cuisine) 😉?

What I contribute to the events is a high level of professionalism and competence. Helping out where I can, passing on experience to others, and have an optimistic attitude to share.

What else do you want our readers to know about you?

What I would like the readers to know about me is that I'm always more than glad to be of service. If they see me at any event, do not hesitate to ask me questions, whether we're working together at the event, or you're a guest at the event.
