It's always been Jared and my song. All the words are still true after 20 years :) I got to be the drummer from 311’s wedding a few years ago and got to meet the whole band and told them their version of this song was my husband and I’s song and they were stoked. Very, very cool peeps.

I grew up listening to Elton John with my family, and this song was one of my favorites. When I listen to it, I think about all the people I care about such as my family, friends, partner, etc. I like that the song applies to more than just romantic relationships, and think it has a very sweet and uplifting message.

There are a number of Bob Marley love songs I wanted to choose but decided on Is This Love because it brings me back to when I was a kid and I just remember spending time with family blasting that album on road trips with my parents. My first love and I also played this song a lot on her guitar when I first moved to Santa Barbara!
